Kinda alright, but kinda generic – “Moby Dick on rails” does not a plot make, not even when garnished with the usual Miéville flair. Lots of generic protagonist idiocy to go around. A cute concept that didn’t land for me.
If we’re being honest, this would be a three star rating for all other authors, but from Miéville this is disappointing – a reminder of Un Lun Dun much more than New Crobuzon.
