It’s always the religious authors that make me feel especially conflicted. Orson Scott Card, Josef Pieper, and now Walter Miller Jr.
It’s just … their spirituality gets me, and then, when they turn out to be horrible in some or many aspects, I start wondering if that’s inherent to their spirituality. I tend to be into their æsthetics way more than into their (usually corrupt) morals.
